Wedding date: FEBRUARY 20, 2016
Rebekah and Justin met in 2010 when they were 16 and 17 respectively. Rebekah was playing in a basketball game. At the time, Justin was watching from the sidelines. This chance meeting led to a marriage proposal several years later, and to Rebekah and Justin’s wedding.
The pair celebrated their wedding at the Leaning Church Vineyard, Lilydale in Tasmania’s North. Said Rebekah, “It was the first venue we looked at, and we fell in love with it immediately. The owner Sarah, was so lovely and did everything possible to make our day perfect.”
Rebekah and Justin also held their reception at the vineyard. They chose to use a large marquee that successfully accommodated their 120 guests. “The bridal party table had stunning views of the vineyard, and our marquee was decorated with fairy lights that looked magical as it got dark,” said Rebekah. Their tables were decorated with a mixture of white and purple flowers and lanterns. Rebekah and Justin’s guests were treated to a delicious barbecue-style menu, including mini desserts. A gorgeous four-tier caramel mud cake was generously provided by the sister of Rebekah’s Maid of Honour.
Highlights and hitches
Despite gruesome weather predictions of thunderstorms, the weather on Rebekah and Justin’s big day turned out to be perfect. “We couldn’t have asked for a better day,” Rebekah said.
“Our other main highlight was being able to share our special day with all our friends and family. It was such an amazing moment – being able to walk down the aisle with both my Mum and Dad by my side,” she added.
