What are some of the things brides should look for when sourcing wedding decorations?

What are some of the more popular decorating themes at the moment?
Undoubtedly one of the biggest trends for Summer 2014/2015 is anything metallic. From the warm tones of gold to the deep orange hues of copper, and the subtle metallic sparkle of silver.
You cannot put a foot wrong using metallic in your wedding day styling palette.
What are some decorating elements that you don’t get requested often but you think look great for a wedding?
Many of our products are in high demand and there is no one thing that is not requested, however I think that the one décor piece not valued enough in DIY styling is linen. Often couples overlook linen as it is included in their venue package and the spend can seem unnecessary.
If your budget permits though, linen lifts a room, adds depth of field and instantly adds the opulence that many couples crave.
How did you get started in the industry?
We are qualified Event Stylists and run a very successful event styling company with its head office in Brisbane, Queensland Australia.
We noticed that there was a gap in the market for quality, easily accessible, professional and stylist recommended products.
With that in mind we created Enchanted Emporium for the DIY stylist in each of us.
There is nothing more enjoyable and rewarding then styling a dinner party, birthday, wedding or special event and hearing the delightful gasps from your guests when they walk in the room. It is this gasp, that keeps our buying team sourcing new and on-trend products monthly, to add to our already large catalogue of event décor products.
What is something unique to your service that you are extra proud of?
Our entire team is qualified in all areas of the event industry, from coordination, planning, styling and prop making. Each and everyone of our staff can assist our clients in finding the perfect products that suit them and their special events.
We pride ourselves on fast, efficient, quality and helpful customer service. We often get emails of appreciation for our customer service and quality products and our customers love nothing more than to share their styling success and photos with the team. This is a very enjoyable part of our role and speaks highly of the friendships we create with the DIY stylists around Australia.
What advice would you give to brides and grooms to ensure their wedding day runs more smoothly?
Weddings are highly emotive events. They are the ultimate promise to love and cherish your significant other for the rest of your life.
So stay true to yourself, your couple style and accept with grace the opinions of others, although you do not need to implement their suggestions, but know they are offered with love.
Don’t sweat the small things and most of all, take time out for yourself prior to your big day to rest and relax.
