Wedding Dresses with pockets are now a thing!

Brides-to-be rarely think of choosing a practical dress. It’s all about glamour and showing the best of your features.

However, if you think about it, how many women’s clothing items have pockets? Or, more to the point, how many don’t? It’s pointless to design clothes without pockets.
Everyone needs pockets. Even especially brides!

Wedding dresses and jumpsuits with pockets were all over the bridal catwalks around the world in 2018. As a result, there has been a surge of wedding dresses with pockets from the very top bridal designers to high street bridal lines.

Robin Weil, CEO of a wedding planning website in the UK, agrees that the trend of wedding gowns with pockets has risen as a result of brides searching for comfort and practicality. “Wedding dresses with pockets have been gaining popularity for the last few years now,” he said. “From a bride’s perspective, it’s quite a practical solution if they want to keep their phone, tissues or lipstick with them, it’s ideal.”

A shared photo from a wedding guest on Twitter, a bride with pockets on her dress with the caption: “STOP EVERYTHING so one of my friends got married yesterday and she had POCKETS ON THE WEDDING DRESS which is just the best thing I have ever seen,” has been going viral. It was a strapless dress designed by Suzanne Neville with subtle pockets in the seams. While it was not revolutionary it sent social media into a domino effect with the post being retweeted thousands of times. Now, we have brides all over the world sharing their own #weddingdresseswithpockets moments!
